Evening sessions in English for leaders in Odder and nearby
You are home. So is the job.
You sit at the table, but your mind is still at the office. The phone lights up mid-sentence, and you think it might be important. This page, written in English, is about what that does to you and to the people you live with.
This site describes online sessions with the psychologist Frank for leaders in the Odder area. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk, which is also the sender of this site. The main site is in Danish.
Sessions in English, in the evening
Sessions can be held in English. Online is the usual route: you sit at home or in your office in Odder and skip the drive. In-person sessions are possible too, at the clinic in Mørke on Djursland.
You get a fixed weekly evening slot and the same psychologist throughout. Capacity is limited and there is typically a waiting list, so no start date can be promised. Signing up is non-binding and is done through the main site.
Does the evening look familiar?
The phone by the plate
You only need to check one thing. Three minutes later dinner is cold.
Present, but not here
Your child tells you about their day and you nod in the right places, then cannot recall what was said.
The meeting that keeps running
It is late, and you are still replaying what you said and what they meant.
This is a very common experience for people who are responsible for others, a budget or a business. It is not a fault in you. The text describes everyday experiences and is neither a diagnosis nor an assessment of you.
What you can focus on
- why it is so hard to put work down, and what holding on does for you
- what happens in your relationships at home, without having to defend yourself
- the demands you place on yourself, and where they come from
- what you miss when you sit at the table and are not quite there
Typical clients are leaders and directors, founders, busy professionals and people with an international background who prefer to speak English.

Questions and answers
Is it just you and the psychologist?
Yes. The sessions are one-to-one, so you can think aloud about what weighs on you, including what is going on at home.
Will my partner or my GP be told?
No. Your GP, your municipality, your partner or spouse and your workplace are not informed. The sessions are private, need no referral and are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality.
Can my company pay?
Yes. Many people have the invoice paid by their company or workplace, but you can also pay yourself. For prices and terms, see the practical information page (in Danish).
Do I need to know what to talk about?
No. Feeling that work takes up too much room at home is enough to begin with. You do not need a plan or a goal.
See the framework and the waiting list
If it cannot wait. There is a waiting list, so this is not an emergency service. If you need help now, contact your GP, the out-of-hours medical service (lægevagten) or call 112.
